How to auto-deploy a print queue to IP ranges

Assuming the PDAgent is installed on the machine within an IP range, you can specify which print queues get auto-installed based on the IP address of the machine.

  • Open Resource Manager.
  • Navigate to Print Management > Print Queue Management > Queue Deployments.
  • Double click the Queue Deployment on the right. If it doesn’t exist create one manually, or copy from an existing print queue.
  • In the Deployment Scope frame set the Auto deploy dropdown to Selected deployment zones.
  • Click the Deployment zones tab.
  • Click Add.
  • In the New deployment zone window, enter a descriptive name for the zone.
  • Click the IP range tab.
  • Change the Match IP addresses drop-down to Those in the range(s) specified below.
  • Enter the IP range in the text box below. To enter more than one range, separate the ranges with a comma.
  • Example: 168.0.1-192.168.0.100, 10.0.0.0/24, 10.1.3.0/24
    • A machine with IP 192.168.0.10 will have the queue installed, while a machine with IP 192.168.0.110 will not.
    • A machine with IP 10.0.0.10 will have the queue installed, while 10.0.1.10 will not.
  • Click OK and OK again.

If you would like the deployment to happen immediately, refresh the individual PDAgents or right click the PDServer and choose Send Command > Refresh all connected PDServers.
